If you’re an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Kuwait, you must verify your Employment Contract before vacationing in the Philippines. It’s required when applying for an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), an exit clearance for OFWs leaving the Philippines to work overseas. Without an OEC, OFWs can be offloaded from their flight, causing a delay in their employment. So if you’re wondering how to process an Individual Contract Verification in Kuwait, keep reading.

Verifying an Employment Contract helps the Labor Attaché to check if OFW’s contracts follow the current employment laws, standards, and practices of the Philippines and their host country. It also protects OFWs’ employment rights, benefits, and welfare while working overseas. Therefore, OFWs should apply for Individual Contract Verification at the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Kuwait to ensure their safety and prevent delays in their flight due to issues obtaining an OEC.
